I also heard that the fish can eat others - I thought I saw it happen once, but it turned out to be a flaw in the graphics as the small fish swam straight through the other.
@WiiBoy: I even your workplace. If I was in your bit of Eu then I would sooo want to work with you. On a similar subject, I did my work experience in a games... shop. It wasn't the same as working in the industry (Team17 are fairly nearby but I couldn't get any transport in the end), but on my second day we ordered pizza from the hut-related takeaway from down the road. The pizza was nice. Where was I, now? Oh yeah...
@LAA: Quote "I ABSOULTELY LOVE GAMES". Thanks for clearing that one up. I was a bit unsure about that bit, since you were posting on a games site and everything... Hopefully with the releases of Beta testing programs (on the 360/PS3 at least) these jobs won't die down though. Going directly from Beta testing opinions would be a nightmare, and all the dev's would get would probably be praise and swearing. Hence: Wii customers are better. Oh, and if I was working in the industry, I would probably prefer to work with the creativity and designing "department", since I'd probably mess up the game code with bbcode and lots of shades of Wii-blue in the graphics.

Yeah, I ABSOULTELY LOVE GAMES, but again, it could take all the fun out of it.
One of the only reasons I would want to be a game tester for a while because if you were in an interview for a games developer, they like to hire people with expierence in the gaming industry, (so game testing is an easy job to get hold of, so easy expierence there) and NEW GAMES!

Gametesting CAN be fun but it is not a job I would like to do for many years. I know some older testers and they don't have a console at home because all the magic and fun has gone because of testing every hour and every day.

And in PLÄTTCHEN the shark in the Underwater Fantasy also does not really eat the FantasyME because the Age Rating would be 18+ if the shark would really kill the Astronaut (one of the FMs) =/ so we just decided to put much plankton and many bubbles into the sea instead =D

After testing PLÄTTCHEN (which takes around one week alone for the CLASSIC-Mode with Fantasy turned off) every tester needed some days without playing anything, because it is really hard to concentrate that long time. But everyone loved the last Sector in PLÄTTCHEN because we decided to do something different for those players who are brave enough to play it to the end. I think if you would be a tester for a company you just should do this just a few hours a week!

As I said above, I wouldn't mind becoming a games journalist, but games testing doesn't appeal to me since you have to note everything about the game down and don't really get much fun out of it. I would like to work on websites and whatnot too, and I also enjoy a bit of graphics design (despite the fact that the best photo software I have is Picasa...).
As for revision: I did what I had to, but I didn't overwhelm myself (except maybe for the Shakespeare stuff). On a more encouraging note: remember to REVISE, kids!
As for My Aquarium, I just deleted it to make way for StrongBad. Yes, I know Ys and DoReMi are out now, but I prefer the newer stuff (and also dislike RPG games and own too many platformers). It is a good game, but only when you need something relaxing or a nice touch for a party. I do switch it on now and then to feed the fish and see what's new, but I swear that they don't actually eat the food and it just falls to the bottom a disappears momentarily after.

So you're doing double science, art, drama, extra science and media.
They dont have media at our school, I would have been good at reviewing, I dont hate any film, to my knowledge...
Thanks for the kind words, i needed that, I just feel sick inside (Emotionally), I hope I get 1 last 6 in english, then I've got the devils number! (666), no, not for that, I was aiming for a 6 at least on all my SATS, so if I get this, then I'm on the right track as you said.
Still, I cant believe you got 6,7 and 8 (beginning of my phone no., nobody try and figure out the rest).
Did you revise really, really hard?
I think I should have revised better, I hardely did at all infact, I think I did some bitesize tests for science and maths and you cant really revise for english, (apart from shakespear, story writing and punctuation etc., but I'm pretty good at story writing and punctuation etc.)
Yeah, we've kinda have got of topic yeah, but you cant really talk about My Aquarium, "I got ermm, whats it called, erm...., erm.... fish, yeah fish, I got a new fish, he erm...., ermm..., swims, yeah he does that."
I didnt think the game was that good though, I havent played it till 3 days after I got it.
I hope you do good in Yr 11 (if you are).
Plus, What do you wanna be when you grow up?
I wanna be involved in games somehow, (I think its called 3D Modelling), I've just always enjoyed games, You could make me do whatever you want if you put a games console in front of me.
If I dont become a 3D Modeller, I'd be a games tester, I get all the new games 1st and I do what I enjoy the most.

School'll be fine, it takes a bit of getting used to in KS4 though (Years 10-11 for non-UK-ers). I did double science, art (since they don't do graphics in year 10 at my school) and drama. I wanted to do ICT but was forced to do extra Science instead. I also got the choice of English Literature or Media Studies (both include English Language) and so I did Media 'cos I enjoy it most and wouldn't mind working as a games journalist in future (ya listening WWW? - i've already posted a good review of MaBoShi if you want to see on the games' comments page). In my first Media coursework, I had to do a film review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which I got an A* for (yay! - I was also incidentally one of the only people in my group that doesn't despise the film), so I guess that just means that whatever you're good at, you'll excel in too. Oh, and I don't do private schooling, and I've always been good at maths (full marks in Yr 6 SATS) - hence the level 8 (you can only get level eight in maths, science and english go up to seven. As long as you've got a six though, you're on the right tracks).

Also, isn't it weird how comments for these topics and articles often seem to trail off to something completely different (I refer you to the recent WW charts where everyone ended up asking WiiBoy about Plattchen).

WOAH, you're smart, I didnt even think it was possible to get 1n 8, well so far anyway,
Are you the smartest in your class, (if you're not in a private school).
I'm not enjoying school as I would have last year, since my brilliant form tutors gone and I feel like I'm stupid, since it feels like everyones doing better than me, but it feels cool to only do things you like now.
I got a 6 in Maths and Science and I'm awaiting my English results, I hope I get a 6, then my SATS overall would look pretty good.
I've took: Seperate Science, I.C.T, German and DT (Graphics).
What did you take?

@America peoples: Whilst we're getting Wispa McFlurries and free Coke glasses, it's McDonalds FTW over here. Though Pizza Hut (despite the service) is always a winner as well. Whatever happened to Wimpy anyway?

OH, Chilli's is a place.
Its not in the UK, so I wouldnt know about it.
I was typing the message before, when I was in school (DT Graphics)!
(I wasnt being naughty, I finished everything, so I had nothing else to do, made sure to hide what I was doing though, just in case)
My new form tutors OK, but no where near as good as Mr McKeown.
I'm now 10AW, which sounds better 10DMCK or 10AW, I think DMCK has the best sounding form.
I hope she gets a bit more nicer later.
Yr10 is starting to scare me... someone who always messes in lessons got a 7 in SATS and I got a 6!, but he was in set 1 for most things last year (not any more, I'm in set 1 for more things now)
Yr 10 feels a lot different from other years so far though, the others just held the best memories a guy/girl could ask for (The best ever for me), REALLY good memories...good times....good times....

You're fine, LAA. Four years can change quite a bit. Some people have just eaten at Chili's for so long that they can't remember when they started eating there. :P

At least you became the center of discussion for a time. ;)

I'd tried to pretend that I had something to post concerning the topic at hand, but there is not much to say about this news, much like this week's game. (My Aquarium just seems pointless to me...but then again, that's what nongamers say about all games...)

I figured you were in your 10^th year of college when you said you were yr10. In the US, we refer to that as "9^th grade".

In any case, to stay on topic: RPG's are about as relaxing as I want my games to be, and I like my sims to be much more involving, so once again, I'll be passing on My Aquarium.

Anyone ever been to the Fatz Cafe though?
I love that place. I've driven a couple hundred miles with my girlfriend just to eat there. And when I told them where I came from, they called up my hotel and paid for my room.
I really can't stress enough how great of a restaurant it really is. I'd pour money out of my own pocket just for them to build near my location. :P

Analogy time!
It's like eating at McDonald's your whole life.
You think it's great and all.
Then you go to Chili's and have one of their huge burgers.

Of course, you think you're doing great and all with fast food,
but then you're completely shocked when you go to a restaurant and order the same thing.

14 year old kids don't know what it's like to be anything except what they've already been.
So naturally, you have no idea how minimal these "changes" are.
Oh, and puberty isn't anything changing, it's developing. Don't listen to your 7th grade health teacher, they don't know anything.
(Same goes for Algebra I and English teachers)

And you've already discredited the whole "maturity" thing when you posted about how "cool" you are. So you're right, let's not argue. There's nothing to argue about.

On an article related note: Is there any reason why I should download this if I already have Endless Ocean?

Thanks for the compliement, not many people say that and sorry for thinking you were in the US, most people I talk to are americian, so I get confused, sorry.
Good to hear Plattchen will be a multiplayer wiiware game, not many are at the moment.
Do you have an idea when Plattchen could be out?
Its one of the games I'm most looking forward to.

I am 28yrs old and I just wondered how a talented writer LAA could be with just an age of 10 years =) Sorry, I misunderstood that but school systems may be different in every state - and by the way the flag besides my Nickname shows AUSTRIA (Europe, you know) =)

@Bensei: This is not the PLÄTTCHEN-Topic so I would suggest you to visit and register on GameClub.at which answers all of your Questions for free. It is just for Austrian Nintendofans so SORRY to everyone else.

I just wanted to make clear that PLÄTTCHEN is a very crazy multiplayer game. And btw it is also a good Aquarium - so if you pass on 'My Aquarium' ....... =)
But be warned because you may have to play an hour or three to reach the Underwater-Fantasy.
