Blue Oasis

Blue Oasis (WiiWare)

Blue Oasis allows players to tend to and breed a variety of tropical fish on their Nintendo Wiis, carefully waggling the Wii Remote to feed them food, either that powdery stuff that really stinks (in animal and vegetable form), or live bait in the form of wriggly worms. Hudson Soft reveals today that gamers will be able to choose from Small, Medium and Large tanks, which can be customised with all sorts of weeds and stones to create a natural environment for your new pets. Individual fish can also be targeted, just to see how they’re getting along in more detail.

I dont think i will be getting this one. I already have Endless Ocean which this seems to be a simplified version of.

Endless Ocean is so similar.

It would be great if you could import smaller fish from Endless Ocean to this game. Not the blue whale of course:)

I look at these screens and, for some reason, I have Hayley Westenra's music in my head.

So long as I have Endless, I don't know if I'm getting this one.

Yo Tony, that would be a very cool feature :D. Take a sim dive to catch some sim fish to put in your sim aquarium. ;) I love that idea, really. Maybe there will be some boating game as well, to take you on your sim boat to your sim diving site.
Why didn't the devs think of that? Shame...

That aquarium thing here would probably be a very cool feature as background illumination for some cool parties in your living room. 500pts sounds tempting to me...

Oh, another thought here: isn't there a "Find Nemo"-Game out there somewhere where this would fit in neatly? :)

Thomas: Indeed. Endless is probably more interesting/contains more depth.

This released in Japan today from what I know so we may be getting this soon whether you all like it or not!! XD

But for 500, oyou can't go wrong, can you? Time will tell. I'm not getting this but maybe my friend will consider this since he has an aquarium of his own and he loves tending to it. :)

Obviously I haven't played the game, but to compare this to Endless Ocean would be like comparing Shadow the Hedgehog to Metroid Prime just because both involve guns. And to continue the analogy, I'm also certain that Blue Oasis will have the quality of Shadow the Hedgehog next to Endless Ocean's "Metroid Prime-like" quality.

Yeah, the comparison sucks, but hey, stupidity doesn't stop an Endless Ocean fan. :P

This might be nice to just have running in the background as an alternative to buying a real fish tank. Not sure how real it will look, but from the screen shots it looks to be pretty good.
