Wordsnake

Wordsnake (WiiWare)

In this simple and addictive word game, the aim of the game is to build words of 3-8 letters from the random selection on the tile rack, and reach a target score before the time runs out. Each new word is placed on the board from an existing letter tile, forming snake like structures, which means the words must begin or end with the existing letter.

Each level starts with a randomly changing letter tile that the player has to select to give the best chance of forming words. This tile becomes the base tile and remains on the board for the whole level. Subsequent tiles will disappear after a set time, which means the player must form new words to keep the snake alive. Invalid words will reduce the players score, but will have to be played sometimes to get rid of difficult letters.

Special tiles let the player:- Gain extra lives. Decrease remaining level time. Increase remaining level time. The player can also randomly shuffle their letters and move letters to a second tile rack to help with word construction. As the player progresses to each new level, they will have less time to complete the level, the target score will increase, and extra walls will appear that restrict the playable area.

It must be related to Bookworm, so I may get this game if it is cheap.

Speaking of Bookworm, I'd probably get a 500 pt Bookworm update...

Okay, I hate myself for having played Scrabble, I am definately not playing this. Especially with that disgusting snake-thing on the title, and I like snakes!

I went to the official site, and I didn't see a decent game in their collection. With a pedigree like that, I am definately not interested in this game, and can firmly say that this is a cash-in!

What's this Freaky Snake lookn thing ya'all are talkin bout.....
WHAAA???
Now that looks like the face of John Cusak pasted to the body of a hideous green alien snake.
They should really change the figure of that thing.
I can only imagines the whole crap load of lil kids being horrifed in their beds, unable to go to sleep......all because they played a session of Mr. Freaky Snake game.
Is this like Scrabble at all?
Rockn.

I played Bookworms, and that was alright, if you like words. It's not really scrabble, more Boggle mixed with Bejeweled. I won't be getting this though, I don't like Boggle nor Bejeweled nor snakes. I do like Scrabble though, and words, so I might continue to play Bookworms. Or Scrabble.
