King K for retrospectives.
Chuggaconroy for let’s plays
Daniel Thrasher just because he is hilarious
Bandit Games, monster maze and zeltik for Zelda videos
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG
Enos 1:15
Play with Josh for farming sims/cozy games. He also makes loads of tip videos and reviews that have helped me no end.
He's so passionate, kind and too pure for this world.
If you're into retrospective videos, I strongly recommend Liam Triforce. His videos are extremely high-quality and he doesn't get enough attention. His video on the Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of my favorite videos on the platform.
"Science compels us to explode the sun!"
Currently playing:
Persona 3 Reload (PC)
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (PC)
@StarPoint
I’ve seen a few of his Zelda retrospectives and they are pretty good. I would rather watch King K, but Liam Triforces are a nice alternative.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG
Enos 1:15
I wanna recommend Super Bunny Hop again but admittedly I've only watched like 1 video of his the past 3 years, so I'm not as sure about that.
Outside of the usually more known ones, the one gaming channel I've reliably watched over the past while is Stop Skeletons From Fighting. Started as the Happy Video Game Nerd, as obviously a semi-parody of AVGN but with mostly optimism and praise for games, and now does more oddities in terms of games and consoles and especially ports. Usually stuff like "wow this exists? Maybe too ambitious, maybe really dumb, I love it".
@Blooper987 Although I don't watch their streams, I know who they are and what they do. I also like Nyanners, Ina, Calli, and a few others. I never have time to watch their streams though.
Y'all, let's go play Legally Distinct Pocket Creatures!
President of the Chit-Chat thread, as Eagly has unfortunately deleted his account :(
I'm a really big fan of MockRock's content - very well-made analytical content regarding platform fighters in general, though with a heavy emphasis on Smash Ultimate in particular. Also fond of AntDude and Arlo's scripted videos, and while I love Scott the Woz, you're gonna see him come up a lot in these kinds of discussions. I found him before he blew up, though (subscribed the day the Polybius episode went up), and he's still by far my favorite YouTuber
I'm surprised no one mentioned LGR, short for Lazy Game Reviews. If you like vintage computers, hardware, and classic PC games from the DOS era, I can't recommend this one enough! Really well done videos, and Clint is a guy who tries to run Duke Nukem 3D on anything. I also like his series on the channel, Tech Tales, where it looks at old tech events and companies, and goes over what they did great, and what went wrong.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Noah Caldwell-Gervais has some excellent video essays. The nearly 8 hour vid on the Resident Evil series comes recommended. Jacob Geller is similarly good.
Vaatividya because i'm a souls junky.
Avgn is a classic for a reason. Console wars is another channel that strikes a similar lo-fi, cozy, retro feel (but just on a smaller scale). I like SNESdrunk for the same reason.
Other channels: caddicarus, stop skeletons from fighting, and (occassionally) arlo.
